Galvanised Springs

Galvanising is a collective name for all galvanising processes. Galvanised processes are processes during which a metal coating is applied to a metal surface via galvanisation (electrolytical). Examples of this are electrogalvinisation, nickelage or chroming. This always concerns watery solutions wherein the metal that must be precipitated is dissolved.

The dissolved metal particles are drawn to the product surface by the electric current that runs through the product and the liquid. An electro-chemical reaction then takes place on the product surface and the dissolved metal becomes resistant metal. This resistant metal then forms a layer around the product surface.
